I just finished reading this book--->

I loved it. It was cute and very funny. Reading the book, I observed that the main character aka the Shopaholic (Becky Bloomwood), and I are somewhat similiar.

1) We see a sale and go bonkers! Get to know me, and you'll find out that I can not pass up on a good sale. Even if I don't need the item, I think 'well it's on sale so I'll get it' (Well, I'm cutting back on that these days sha)

2) We mentally tick off the designer for the clothes that we are wearing that day. i.e, Today I am wearing Express jeans, Kenneth cole flats, a Gap long sleeved tee and an Old navy hoodie. I also make mental notes of what I'm worth for the day.. i.e, Express jeans--$30 etc etc.

3) Every occasion deserves a treat/pick-me up. After failing my Drivers test 3 times, I hit up the mall for some 'encouragement' and when I passed it on the 4th go, I hit up the mall 'cos I felt I deserved it.

4) We buy shit just for the hell of buying shit. I have one million journals, organizers and what-nots not because I need them, but because 'I think it's so cute and I can't pass it up'

5) We'd both make excellent personal shoppers for other people.

Of course, I'm not as outrageous as her when it comes to spending, I always pay my credit card bill on time, and I've never had the bank stalking me to pay an overdraft. LOL!!!! :D

Some Very Random Thoughts Of Mine said...

I was actually laughing out loud when I read your post...I am a big fan of the shopaholic series, and I like to think we all have a becky bloomwood in us! Having said that, I think that character takes it too too far...and those letters she writes to her bank manager?! genius! what I would give to have that kind of relationship (albeit, fictional) with my bank manager!
